    There was a gentleman and his servant travelling around the country one time.

    servant was astonished and he ran out to the master and says he "I never saw the like before two dumb people in the one house". Is that so says the master I must go in and see them, and another thing I understand the deaf and dumb alphabet. The gentleman went in and put some questions to the tailor and the tailor told him with the signs that they were on the right road. The gentleman understood him all right and went over to the table and left a half crown on it. When the tailor saw the half crown he was delighted and says he "oh thanks very much sir". You go for the water Bill says the wife in the corner. The gentleman was
