A vessel fast was sinking convenient ta the strand
Many eyes were watching as the dark of night came o'er
And friends they were bewailing
On bourtown lonely shore.
Part owner was a farmer adver(?) in his year
He joined the Wexford lifeboat with the rescue Volunteers
We smiled (?) the Captain as she ploughed the raging seas
