“Another night a man was passing by Banville's Turn, in Assegart....”
Another night a man was passing by Banville's Farm, in Assegant, and two terrible big cats appeared before him on the road.
He stooped down to pick up a stone, but the minute he did the casts faced him, and they growling. He got afraid then and he dropped the stone, and he got home out of that quick enough. 'Tis not right to interfere with anything on the road at night- Rockview was also said to be haunted wan time. Long ago an old Protestant family lived there.
One old lady when she was leaving the place said: "Wherever I die, I'll always come back to dear Rockview" And so she did, for she used be seen walking around the place at all hours of the night.
The maids used often meet her on the stairs and they used to have to stand wan side to let(continues on next page)
