    "Are you the man who was going to be married to her? If so you're in luck says the giant.
    "How is that?" says Jack.
    "Because he is called the Snatching Hangman from the Lowlands Low, and he was passing this way the other day and I caught him and I have him now up on a tree in the garden, and I have the young lady secure inside in the cupboard"
    "Oh" says Jack, "will you let me see her?"
    "I will to be sure" says the giant, "and in they went, and there she was inside eating her supper which the giant's mother had got ready for her.
    The minute she saw Jack she ran up to him saying: "Thanks be to God Jack you found me again"
    The giant then knew that he was not telling him lies, so he got his mother to settle up a couple of beds for them where they could sleep comfortably and then they all went to bed and slept sound until morning. Jack got out of bed very early in the morning and he went out for a walk around the garden. When he was passing under a
