Sore Eyes
1. Are washed with cold strong black tea.
2. They are also washed with the juice of a plant called the "Buacaill a cuge" which grows on the gables of thatched houses.
Sore Throat
1. Coarse salt is roasted in a pan and put whilst very hot into a woolen stocking and put round the throat.
2. Potatoes are roasted in the fire, then crushed put into a sock and put on the throat.
Rheumatism
The joints are rubbed with slightly heated parrafin oil.
Headache
