- People say that there is not a herb in the world that there is not a cure in it. These are some of the names of weeds. Fearbán, Chicken-weed and red knee, and St Patricks Cabbage and water cress. Fearbán chokes the potatoes. The chicken-weed rots the stalks. People take water cress for a bad stomach. They also boil nettles and eat them for a bad stomach. People give red knee to cattle, they say it is good for milk.
