    It is said that a man named Ceallaigh once lived there who made Poitín.
    Poll Buidhe is a wide deep hole on the north side of Ballindine, near the public road. It is about fifty feet in diameter is always filled with water and is said to have no bottom. The surface of the water is about twenty feet from the ground level.
    Tobar na Fáideóige is a spring well at the rear of Luke McHugh's house in Ballindine. Up to ten years ago this well always supplied the town with water. The origin of the name is not kown now locally.

    LOG an LISÍN: a village east of Ballindine and contains the following fields,
    The Lisín: in Michael Hyne's land.
    Moínín Rua: in Michael Hyne's land.
    Cnocán: also in Michael Hyne's land
    Cualán: a three cornered field at the back of Kivneen's house.
