    Horses are very plentiful in the district also. They are very useful animals. They are kept in a stable at night and are given hay or oats to eat. Their bedding is made of straw. Any person who has a horse must get iron shoes on them at a forge. There was once a horse in this district that could jump over a gate six feet high.
