- There are the ruins of an old corn mill a few hundred yards from the town of Kilkelly. It is built on a river which is a branch of the Moy. The people took the corn to the mill on the backs of donkeys or horses as there were no roads for carts to travel on at that time. Each man waited for his turn until his corn was ground. Then he took home the meal and the shellings. They gave the shellings to cattle and pigs and they used the meal for food.
