- There are a good many herbs and weeds growing on our farm at home.
The most common of these are nettles. In spring-time if the nettles are boiled and eaten they are a cure for bad blood. The most harmful weed growing in this part of the country is the dock, because it spreads rapidly and it is very hard to banish it. It grows in every kind of land. There is a cure in the dock for a burn.
There is a cure in comfrey for sores and cuts. It grows in dry gardens. If one root is sown it will spread all over the(continues on next page)- Collector
