    in my district. It is said if a man comes into a house while a churning is being made and lights his pipe, or brings out a coal, he can bring the butter with him, and no matter how long the person keeps churning no butter will come on the milk.
    If a person comes into a house while a churning is being made, he is supposed to say "God bless the work", and churn for a minute or he could bring the butter also.
    Some people say if a small pinch of salt is thrown over the lid of the churn before starting that nobody could bring the butter whatever he would do. Others say if a small woollen cloth is burned and the remains put under the
