- There was once a woman who lived with her son Sean in a little cottage. They were very poor. One day she told him that he must go and seek his fortune. He went away, and he met a man who employed him for a year. He did his work well and at the end of the year the man made him a present of a small pony.
Sean went home to his mother. The pony grew quickly and he was a great runner. Sean decided to sell him as a race horse. He went to the fair with the pony. In the evening he came up to a man who said that he would give him three hundred pounds for the pony. Sean(continues on next page)- Collector
