    Bí stoirm mór ann timceall 1849 bhí na daoine ag caiteadh cloch suas ar na tighthe ag éirighe an tuige a chongbháil. Bhí na siogáin leagtha agus cuair siad cuid de'n fhéar agus cuid de'n coirce ar taobh na sléibhte. Bhí imnidhe mór ar na sean daoine go mbead na tigthe tógta ag an stoirm. Nuair a cuaidh na daoine go dtí an fhairrge indiaid na stoirme. Bhí gach sagas iasg marbh suas ar an talamh. Bhí na daoine ag teacht amach o'n bfairrge le ualaig capall agus ualaig asal iash. Bhí fear ag cur suas [?] sios i gceibh agus nár bhfuair sé mairnealach san eas. [?]
