- Saint CumminOnce upon there was a man and his name was Maughan and his wife was Loughney. They had land at the shore in Kilcummin. They has a son and there came a box in at the shore. The cow used to be licking the box every day and when she used to be milked she had more milk than she used have any other evening. The last evening she had as much as they were nor able to hold. Maughan went down one evening and found the box and opened it. He found the child in the box and brought the child up to his house.
