    Long ago, in Ireland, there lived a man who was very poor. He was going home one night and he took a short cut through the fields.
    As he was passing by a farm he met a very old woman who invited him to a party which was held by the fairies.
    She warned him not to touch drink under any circumstances.
    He was taken into a beautiful castle, where hundreds were assembled and danced enough to the strains of lovely music.
    When the dancing was finished, he was asked to sing a song which he did. He was asked to sing another and was also asked to sing a third, but he refused.
    One very small old woman sitting in a corner said:-
    "Excuse Tommy Waddy, he has very bad shoes"
    He was told he could depart and was conducted to the door by a young lady, who told him he had made a great mistake in not singing the third song. Had he sung
