- They say if a person goes above his ankles in the water on Whit Sunday he will be drowned before that time again. If a calf is calved that day he will be cross. If a person white wash a house around Whit Sunday it will not be lucky. They put white globes on the altar lamps that day. Every one brings holy water from the chapel that day because there is a cure in it.
