This stake is driven in the ground and the snare is held up with a skiver. This skiver is split on the top and the snare is stuck on the top of it. The snare for a hare is six inches high and four inches for a rabbit.
I also make snares for catching snipe. They are made the same way as the snare for rabbits and set the same way as a crib.
I also make a bow and arrow and I make it in a half circle and tie it with a cord. Then I get a stick with a little limb in the side of it. I leave an inch of the limb there. I catch the stick in the cord and I pull it back and I let it fly off.
