    Herbs and poultices were applied under certain conditions. Goat's milk and bread was applied under certain ways to a finger which was inflammed by a white thorn. The bread was steeped in the milk for half and hour then it was applied. It was believed by the old people that the goats milk contained the juice of herbs.
