Her name is Mrs Shanahan, of Bridgetown, Clonea, Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Waterford. In the other cottages lives a man of over seventy years and his wife and two of his family. His name is Mr. J. Hurley. The rest of his family also emigrated. Now the fifth house is a two storied slated house surrounded by a lot of nice trees and shrubs. It is the teachers residence. It was build about thirty years ago, and it is there I live.Bridgetown is a nice high part of the country and the scenery is very beautiful as there is a lovely view of the Curraghmore woods. Bridgetown is situated between the villages of Clonea and Mothel, but the one draw back is there is no spring water in part(continues on next page)
