  1. I
    O fare thee well Balbriggan
I now must leave thy shore,
I am going to leave those green fields,
I may never see them more,
But if I never see them,
    I never shall forget,
    The sweet and smiling faces
    Around Isaac Bower I met.
    II
Up through Hampton groves I wandered,
    Where the feather warbles blew,
Where each lover meets a sweetheart
And the sweetheart must sing too.
    There may be happiness yet,
But there is more I've ever seen,
To make me feel so happy,
As the dance on the Market Green
