Easter Sunday is one of the principal feasts of the year. Some boys and girls give up sweets for Lent. Last year Paddy Conway, Eddie Fallon and myself gave up sweets for Lent and on Easter Sunday, sunday morning, we went to Newcastle and then to Kennedy's Hill where we ate plenty of them and other good things as well. First of all we lit a fire, then we sat around the fire and we had a great picnic. At about two o clock we went up to the Wild Man's Clump. After that we went home.
