On the summit of the hill overlooking Finner graveyard is a large mound locally called Fliencter. Tradition tells us that a boy named Kerrigan was taken away by the fairies. After some time he escaped but was again taken. After this they elected him their king. His remains are interred on this hill, hence its name Fliencter. Some years ago the local hurling team when going to play a challenge match always broke a bottle of whiskey on his grave and they believed by doing so they always were victorious.(no title)
