    was down in Ballintra, visiting some friends of her's and she says, they took her out to see a tree that is outside the town with bloodstains on it (was hanged) The bloodstains are those of a priest who was hanged there during the Penal Days by the English Soldiers. It is told that he hid behind the tree, but was captured and hanged there.
