- The weeds which do not harm in this district are the dock, nettle, chickweed, and faraban. The[y] make land poor and choke up the crops. Dockans, nettles, chickweed and faraban grow in poor ground. I know of no weeds which [word missing?] healing properties. I can find no story which the people have regarding the shapes of leaves, roots or the colour of flowers. There is some weeds and plants used as food for people and animals such as dulse for the people chickweed for ducks and whins for horses.
