- There was a big storm in 1894 on the twenty first of December. All the boats along the Gweebarra were broken. Houses were stripped and trees were uprooted. It rained hail and rain while the storm lasted.
The storms of 1880, 1881, 1882 tossed all the houses about this place. The stacks of the hay and corn were all blown out the Barr. All the banks and brues of the land were torn down by the sea.
There was thunder and lightning with both storms.- Collector
