- My grandmother says that there is a crock of gold hidden near my home in a place called the Griánan.
It is said that one day an old man named Fergal Gallagher to whom the Grianan belonged was digging near it. He found a quern and when he removed the clay from the top of it he found a drinking glass sitting on this quern.
He went on digging and tried to remove the glass. But came a big black cat which frightened him much that he ran home for help. He returned with the help, but when they went to the Griánan they could not find a trace of the quern or the cat.
