- 7-12-37These are some fields on my father's at Gomein Knockbrack. Here are some of them. The Lime kiln, The creamery field, The school house field, The moss field, The mill bray.
The lime Kiln got its name because there was a lime kiln in it. The creamery field because the creamery is at the foot of it, the school house field because knockbrack school was in the corner of it. The moss field because there was turf cut in it; The mill bray because there was a mill at the corner of it.
The Lurgy burn got its name because runs through Lurgy. There is a pool down this burn called Lagan-a-praise. The water in this pool goes round very quickly some times.
There is a hill above the school called "bru mo croide"Joe MccKinney
