    9. Cures for Ringworm.
    a) The Thompsons can cure ringworm by rubbing the ringworm nine mornings. The person must be fasting.
    b) Writing your name in ink round the spot also is said to cure ringworm.
    10. Cure for "rose" (Erysipelas)
    a) Butter from a woman whose both parents are the same name will cure this.
    b) Water lifted from where three townlands meet (in the name of the Blessed Trinity) & rubbed three times. The water must be lifted after sunset.
    None of these cures are of any use if asked for.
    11. To cure whooping-cough put the child three times over and under a donkey. Give the donkey oat-meal, and make the child eat any grains that fall.
    12. To cure mumps the child is led to the well by a person whose parents are the same name.
    13. A child or grown-up who never saw their father cures a sore mouth by blowing into it.
    14.A seventh son or daughter can cure the King's Evil by rubbing.
    15. A family in Horn head can cure the evil by "the King's Blood". This family are not living there now. Supposed to be blood of "Bonnie Prince Charlie".
    16.Nine gooseberry jags are supposed to cure a sty
