  1. This poem was composed about 1928 by David Hay who lived for many years in Ramelton but who is at present living near Dunfanaghy. It was told to me by my mother.
    Annath McClure.
    Hurrah for dear old Donegal,
    Carrigart, and Kilmacrennan
Dear old Letterkenny, and Ramelton on the Lennon,
Old Milford town of high renown
    Kerrykeel and Rossnakill
    Sweet Tamney and old Creeslough
Where I oftimes drink my fill.
I visit sweet Falacarragh, Dunfanaghy and Dunloe
I oftimes call at Glenties at Convoy and Raphoe
I wander round by Ardara and oft with weary legs
I pass through Dunkineely on my way to Killybegs
