    Mrs Gallagher who is a very good-natured woman and never paid any heed to his talk did not like Peoples to die with this idea of her in his mind & accordingly visited him when he was dying. Only with the greatest persuasion would he agree to forgive her. The poor woman eventually went down on her knees. Then only did Peoples say "I forgive you." After Mrs Gallagher left the house he remarked to Mr Joe Harkin "I forgave her but I have still my own notion"
