    rocks shaped much like a table and there are some of them to be seen at the present time.
    There is a flat rock on top of Crohan (a hill about three miles from here) where Mass was supposed to have been said in olden times. There are a lot of places where priests hid and when Mass was said.
    There is a big rock or cliff below Buncrana (a town on the other side of the Lough about five miles down) known as Father Hegarty's Rock. When the English were following him it was to this rock that he went to for to be safe. But in spite of all his efforts, he was caught and killed by the soldiers.
    Aughterlin (a townland about two or three miles from here) is important in history on account of a priest who hid in it during the Penal times. There is a mass rock on the eight green
