- In olden times people ate two meals in the day. They ate a meal in the morning and another one at night, when they came in from their work. Some of them work in the mornings, before they get their breakfast and others do not. Each meal consisted usually of potatoes and butter. They ate oaten bread and flour bread. They usually used fresh meat. Sometimes they eat fish. Meat is eaten on feast days.
