“In olden times in Ireland the people were pagans.”
In olden times in Ireland the people were pagans. Long before St Patrick came to Ireland, on the last night of April, the people used to have a great feast. After the feast was over, they used to light a fire outside the house, and from that fire they used to take coals and put one coal on every field. Then they used to pray to them as their gods.- Collector
