    There is a holy well in Cnoc a Tighe." There is one in Conwall and if you are angry and wash your hands in it, the anger will leave you. There is Doon well and also an old well in Templedouglas that was closed up. The time it was open there was a public house near, and when the men were coming from the "turas" they would get drink. So, when the Bishop heard he ordered it to be closed.
