- St. Baithin is the patron St. of this parish. His native place of St. Baithin was Faughboyne.
There was a big church in Faughboyne and it was St. Baithin's church. In olden times the Catholics owned the church. About 600 years ago the protestants took this church from the catholics and they took bell and buried it in a moss near by.
There are images of saints and angels painted on the windows of it. Beside the church there is a school and when the protestants took the church they took the school also. This school was not used for this last fifteen years. When the school was in use the protestants taught(continues on next page)
