    make them both the same, this money was called "Boot." "Tick" is another word, if you were buying goods in a shop and did not pay for them when you got them, this was called "Tick." Dealers used to come round for rags and give delph or other articles in exchange. A halfpenny is called a "Make", a penny a "Wing," a sixpence a "Tanner," a shilling a "Bob."
