When they were half way they saw a hare and let down the bag on the road and chased after the hare. Domhnaill still kept singing, "Domhnaill O Domhnaill a fleawnais." There was a man passing with a flock of sheep and he says to Domhnaill what will you take and let me in there. Domhnaill said he would take the flock of sheep he could get there any time. Domhnaill told him to loose the off the bag if he wanted to go to heaven.
Domhnaill put him in and tied the cord and told him to keep singing, "Domhnaill O Domhnaill a fleawnais". Domhnaill went home home with 200 head of sheep. Next morning he sent for the two brothers to help him count the sheep. They were more surprised than ever this time to see Domhnaill alive. They asked him where he got all the sheep and he said, in the hole yours threw me in yesterday. They said do you think if we went in would we get anything. He said the hole was white with them.
