There are about three spinning wheels in the parish and the bean a tige spins wool for the socks for the men and boys which are knitted during the long winter nights.
New clothes are bought for the Christmas and Easter also for a wedding. - St Colman is our patron saint. His church (in ruins) remains at Kilmacduagh together with a round tower and in all seven churches.
There are several Blessed Wells in the district called after him. One of these on which the old grand jury of Galway built the county(continues on next page)
