Then they worked a few hours, when they came in they had their dinner which consisted of potatoes and salt and milk. When they came in the evening they had their supper of stirabout. Some of the people used to make potato-cake. They used to boil the potatoes and peel them then they used to mix them with flour. When it was baked they called it potato-cake.Writer: Mary Rafter
