    There was a shoemaker, long ago, who was listening to people telling stories about leprechauns, that they had tons upon tons of money, and if he went the right way about getting him, he will tell him where he would get money. The shoemaker said if he got a lot of money, he would build a house and live happy without working. The next night he went out, and caught sight of a leprechaun. He grabbed him quickly and kept his eyes on him. The leprechaun brought him to a tree and told him under this tree, gold is to be found, and he told him to go home and get a spade to dig it. The shoemaker did as he was told, and when he came back the leprechaun was nowhere to be seen. He dug up the tree
