- The Kiltyclogher Protestant church was dedicated in the year 1868. It was built by a man named McGuinness from Cavan. His son became bishop of Kilmore afterwards. The[re] was no road from the church down to the bridge, only an old path and the people had great trouble in getting up to the dedication. William Wilson's sister was first to get married in it. She was married to a man named Ross from Glencar.
It was a great grandfather of Mr. J.D. McGriskin, Kiltyclogher, who gave them the site to build the church.- Collector
