    Smoke from chimney. If the smoke goes up straight it is a sign of good weather, but if it blows sideways it is a sign of bad weather, especially rainy weather.
    Birds Seagulls come inland during bad weather.
    Birds coming into the house is a sign of bad weather.
    Hens begin to pick their feathers with their beaks in bad weather
    Wind from the south east is a sign of approaching storm.
    Mist. If there is a mist on Benbow, a mountain in this district, it is a sign of bad weather but if the mist is moving to the north it is a sign of good weather.
