There was an Irishman one time and he got a watch lost on the road and he did not know what he it was. He met a man with a cart of turnips. He asked him what he had on the cart. He said they were mare's eggs. So the Irishman exchanged, with the Englishman for a turnip. The Irishman sat down to rest. He left the turnip by his side. The turnip rolled down the hill until it hit a bunch of rushes. When it hit the rushes a hare popped out of the bunch. The Irishman though it was a young foal hopped out of the turnip which was supposed to be a mare's egg. If that foal was beyond in Ireland he would be the best runner in the planes of Kildare.
