- There is a herb called Cumphry. It is the cure for a cut. It has a big yellow leaf like a docking leaf. Another herb which is called the Dandelion, is supposed to be the cure for a bad stomach. The Mellow leaf, which grows on a ditch is the cure for biles. Broom is a cure for a swelling. You boil it and rub the juice of it to the swelling. It is said that nettle roots boiled are a cure for the measles.
