Cross, ClaremorrisLucht SiúilFrom time to time tinkers call to this village. It is nearly the same people that come here always, because we live so far from the public road that new parties going the road, could hardly find us out.
The names of some of the tinkers are, Maughans, Myres, Barrets, Reillys and Mongans.
Most of the tinkers come to this village in light spring-carts and some of them come on foot.
They sell a lot of useful articles, such as tincans, saucepans and funnels.
In this locality there are a lot of articles bought from the tinkers.
They buy the tin in the shops and they make the articles in their tents.
Sometimes there is welcome before the tinkers especially if there are any repairs to be done, such(continues on next page)- Collector
