man cut the serpent in two with a sword. The serpent told the man to hit him again and he would kill himself but the man did not hit him. That night when the man was going home to Glann a woman dressed in white leaped up on the horse behind him and she kept on the horse until the man reached his own house then she disappeared. That night the man died. The place where the woman leaped up on the horse behind him is called the Pucin's bridge.
