    Straw-boys or Soppers
    On the wedding night while the feast was in progress, parties of boys dressed themselves in fantastic style and wearing masks, visited the house where the wedding was in progress. These were called "Soppers" or "straw boys".
    Having got permisson to dance the leader asked the "bride" to be his partner.
