    Mickey Hussey of Banemore, Listowel cured ''pharcy'' in animals.

    Tomas Daly of Irramore, Lixnaw, Co. Kerry had a fine horse. He, the horse, got a big wart between foremost legs, hanging from the breast.
    The Listowel 'vets' would not interfere, saying the horse would bleed to death. As a last resort, Tom Daly took the horse to Mickey.
    Mickey, placing some irons in the fire, then cut the wart. The horse was pumping blood; the hot irons were applied but failed to stop the bleeding. They (Mickey and his son) continued the application of the hot irons, but horse was bleeding speedily.
    Mickey had been just setting out for Tralee when Tom Daly arrived. He now said that he would be off and that the son would continue with the irons.
