Where a piece of land subsided and water sprang up."Tobar Geal" in Doonan was once believed to be in Currandoo about a mile away but changed mysteriously when a tinker's wife washed her child in it."Loch a' Chornéil" Tiaquin or Colmanstown called after a Colonel Burke who drowned evil-doers in that lake. Once he was about to drown a young girl there, but she asked him to turn his back which she prepared for death.
