“About a hundred years ago faction fighting was very common.”
About a hundred years ago faction fighting was very common. The game was carried on with black thorn sticks and ash plants. One faction challenged another faction to meet in their town. Then when both sides were ready the fight commenced. They lashed each other with ash plants and black thorns and blood was often spilt. Then when the beaten party surrendered they went home. The law put an end to this game which is called Faction Fighting. The fights were carried out mostly on fair days and holidays.- Collector
